Of course, we are going to tell you that you should outsource your cleaning services, that’s what we specialize in after all! Outsourcing your cleaning staff isn’t always the best option, but it may come as no surprise that there could be weak points and shortcomings that you had no idea about. Did I mention that there can be money saved too?
Outsourcing your janitorial services is meant to relieve you and your team from tasks that are not a part of your core focus. Having to keep things neat and tidy can eat up essential time and take away from the more important parts of your organization. If you are a small business it may not require much time and resources to keep up on regular tasks like trash removal and disinfecting, but for a larger organization, it gets to be very time-consuming. With that being said there are some things you might not be thinking about that are worth mentioning:
-
- An outsourced team has more specific training
- An outsourced team is managed by the provider
- There are potential cost savings to be had
Outsourcing your Janitorial services allows your organization to spend more time doing what means most, and less time on the smaller responsibilities that are required to maintain a larger facility. Bringing in a team that is meant to
do one thing and one thing only allows them to put more focus into ensuring the cleanliness and quality cleaning services being provided. We can’t speak on behalf of other service providers, but we can speak for ourselves. We belong to an organization known as the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI). Being a member of this organization allows us access to training and proven processes that other people are using around the world that are working for other cleaners. For some of our positions, we require certifications issued by the BSCAI, and we require training for all of our cleaners.
One of these certifications we require is a Certified Site Supervisor Certification (CSS), all of our area managers are required to obtain this certification before visiting any of our partner’s facilities. We use area managers to ensure that our team members are doing exactly what is being asked of them, as well as to ensure our partners are happy with our service. This person is responsible for all the cleaning of your facility while all you have to do is sit back and relax. You can leave the responsibility of the cleaning of your facility to your service provider, and that allows you to focus on other important tasks.
We can’t forget about the cost savings! Typically a building service provider will provide you with an option to supply the tools necessary to clean your facility. Often times we are able to either purchase these supplies in bulk or obtain them from a wholesaler. We as a service provider are then able to pass those cost savings down to you. And who doesn’t like saving money right?
Even though outsourcing may not be right for your business, it is definitely worth considering. Whether you’re unhappy with the level of training of your current cleaning staff, spending too much time managing your staff, or just tired of spending money on supplies. If you’re looking for any additional information about our cleaning services you can always reach out to us, we’d be happy to see how we can help!
